With spring comes the annual crop of student artwork and the annual Watching Young Artists Grow exhibit.
The Barton County Arts Council and the Barton County Historical Society host this annual exhibit. Elementary and middle school students from Great Bend USD 428 will have selected artworks on display at the Barton County Historical Society Museum through the month of April.


A reception for these budding young artists will be held Sunday, April 10, from 2-4 p.m. The elementary art instructors are Shannon Wedel and Melissa Watson. Brian Hutchinson is the middle school art teacher.
The Barton County Historical Society Museum and Village is located at 85 South U.S. 281, just south of the Arkansas River bridge in Great Bend. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
