Waters True Value and P and S security host Veterans Appreciation Day

Shown above is from a past Veterans Appreciation day. This years event is scheduled for Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Waters True Value located at 1649 west K-96.

It means a lot to a veteran for the support they receive from the community they live in, and what better way to show support is to have an appreciation day for them.
Waters True Value along with P and S Security will be hosting a Veterans Appreciation Day on Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Waters True Value located at 1649 west K-96.
There will be outdoor exhibits, indoor exhibits along with a free lunch for active duty soldiers, veterans and their spouses.
The outdoor exhibits include: WWII 4th Armored Division Re-enactors, Legion Riders, Army Reserve 863rd QM Detachment display and Army Reserve 129th Transportation Co. The indoor exhibits include: Great Bend Military Moms drop off location (Waters true values and P and S Security are both drop off locations for the entire month of November), Disabled American Veterans, Quilts of Valor display and the Golden Belt Veterans Memorial.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chili and chicken noodle soup will be served.
Great Bend Military Moms will also be collecting items. These items include: AA batteries, DVDs, CDs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, tuna pouches, travel shampoo/lotion/body wash, beef jerky and hard candies for care packages for our overseas service personnel.
