After a year of raising money for the Central Kansas Threadbenders Quilt Guild’s quilt, the winning ticket was drawn at the December meeting. The winner was Phil Heeke, principal at Park Elementary School. He was surprised and very happy to have his name drawn.

“Threadbenders” meet the third Friday of each month at Heartland Community Church, 4907 10th Street, Great Bend. Guests may attend two meetings and then are asked to join and pay dues of $15 a year.
