* TIMING...WINTRY PRECIPITATION...ESPECIALLY FREEZING RAIN OR FREEZING DRIZZLE AND SLEET WILL BE MOVING INTO THE AREA LATER THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

* WINDS...NORTHERLY WINDS WILL BE 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 POSSIBLE. * SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO AN INCH POSSIBLE.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO 1 TO 2 TENTHS IS POSSIBLE BY THE END OF THE EVENT.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS...SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.


THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON...ROUGHLY ALONG A SALINA TO HUTCHINSON LINE. THE ISOLATED STORMS THAT INITIALLY DEVELOP WILL PRODUCE LARGE HAIL AND A BRIEF TORNADO
CANNOT BE RULED OUT. HOWEVER THE STORMS WILL QUICKLY FORM INTO A LINE AND THE ONCE THIS OCCURS...60 TO 75 MPH WINDS AND DIME TO QUARTER SIZED HAIL WILL BECOME THE PRIMARY THREATS.

NORTH WINDS SUSTAINED NEAR 30 MPH...WITH GUSTS AROUND 40 MPH ARE LIKELY IN THE WAKE OF THE COLD FRONT.

TEMPERATURES WILL PLUMMET IN THE WAKE OF THE FRONT. THIS WILL RESULT IN THE RAIN CHANGING TO LIGHT FREEZING RAIN/DRIZZLE AND/OR SLEET LATER TONIGHT ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS. SOME
