First Kansas Bank in Great Bend may have stopped a fraudulent money transfer last Friday. The Great Bend Police Department reports the bank received a wire transfer request in the amount of $15,000 from a company but determined it was fraudulent. The transfer was denied but the attempted fraud was reported to police.
