A Larned teenager died Saturday in a one-vehicle crash in Pawnee County and a second Larned teenager was injured, the Kansas Highway Patrol reports. The crash occurred around 6:57 p.m. on U.S. 183, 13 miles south of Rush Center. 

Joseph Carson Saenz, 18, was driving a 1992 Chevrolet Astro that went left of center and into the ditch. The vehicle came back onto the roadway and entered the opposite ditch, where it rolled multiple times.

Saenz was taken to Hays Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries. Passenger Joshua Lujan Saenz, 16, was also taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries.

KHP reports Joseph Saenz was wearing a seat belt and Joshua Saenz was not.
