A motorist from Hanston died Wednesday after the pickup she was driving went off U.S. 283 in Ness County around 2:10 p.m.

Kansas Highway Patrol reports that the 2002 Toyota was driven by Cynthia C. Goding, 69.

The vehicle was traveling north on U.S. 283 at mile marker 104 when it went left of center, entered the west ditch and struck a culvert at 110 Road, causing it to roll and come to rest in the northwest ditch. Goding was taken to the Ness County Hospital and later died. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
