Great Bend firefighters have cleanup up two small fuel spills this week, GBFD Chief Mike Napolitano reports.
At 3:29 p.m. Monday, units responded to the Wal-Mart parking lot where an F-150 pickup was leaking fuel from the engine compartment. The small amount of fuel on the ground was covered with Oil-dry clay absorbent and the truck had to be towed in for repairs.
At 08:06 a.m. Tuesday, a customer was fueling a vehicle at Zip’s Service, 2010 10th St., when the nozzle did not shut off and had a small amount of gas landed on the ground.
