Great Bend man arrested on meth charge

A Great Bend man is in custody on drug charges following his arrest Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Great Bend Police Department, officers contacted Marcus Miller, 34, in the 1400 block of Second Street and arrested him on two outstanding city municipal court warrants. During the arrest, a substance presumed to be methamphetamine was located and Miller’s backpack was searched in which more suspected meth was found.

The substance was positively tested as meth in an amount approximating 4.5 grams. The incident occurred at approximately 1:57 p.m.

Miller was transported to Barton County Jail and booked for his previous warrants; intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.
