Great Bend Fire/EMS

March 18

Emergency Medical Services had seven ambulance runs. Firefighters responded to two fires: a tree row fire on the 300 block of NE 40 Ave. at 10:26 a.m. and mutual aid in Pawnee County for a grass fire on the 200 block of Q Rd. at 5:27 p.m.


March 19

EMS had eight ambulance runs. Firefighters responded to one false alarm.


Great Bend Police

March 18

An injury crash was reported at 8 a.m. at 18th and Harrison Sts.

An arrest on a previous case was made at 9:04 a.m. at Cherry Village Apartments, 5926 Eisenhower Ave.

A truck theft was reported at 9:17 a.m. at 1807 Stone St. It was later recovered.

An injury crash was reported at 3:05 p.m. at Broadway Ave. and K-96.


March 19

GBPD made two civil service calls.

A theft was reported at 9:43 a.m. at Hertz Rental Car, 2602 10th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 1:11 p.m. at Walmart, 3503 10th St.

A fire involving grass, trash, vehicle or utility was reported at 2:05 p.m. at 3rd and Pine Sts.

A harassment complaint was reported at 2:07 p.m. by phone from 811 Grant St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:15 p.m. at Walmart, 3503 10th St.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 11:33 p.m. at 2920 10th St.


Barton County Sheriff

March 18

BCSO made 20 civil service calls.

A fire involving grass, trash, vehicle or utility was reported at 10:27 a.m. at 350 NE 30 Rd., Great Bend.

A K-9 callout was utilized at 2 p.m. at 1117 N. Main St., Hoisington.


March 19

BCSO made eight civil service calls.

A warrant arrest was executed at 9:33 a.m. at Barton County Detention Center, 1408 Kansas Ave., Great Bend.

A theft was reported at 12:39 p.m. at Mac’s Tee Box, 156 N. U.S. 281, Great Bend.

A fire involving grass, trash, vehicle or utility was reported at 1:42 p.m. at 1412 NE 90 Ave., Odin.

A fire involving grass, trash, vehicle or utility was reported at 5:46 p.m. at 936 NE 40 Rd., Ellinwood.

A pursuit involving all units was reported at 7:51 p.m. at mile marker 214 on E. U-56, Ellinwood.
