A Kansas City, Mo., man was injured in a motorcycle crash at 8:18 a.m. on Friday in Russell County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Cody Razo, age 24, was traveling west on I-70 and attempted to exit at the 199 Exit. He lost control of the 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and struck the exit sign in the center of the pavement at the interchange of the exit ramp.
The motorcycle entered a skid and Razo was thrown from it. Both the driver and motorcycle came to rest on the north side of I-70 and south side of the exit ramp in the grassy area.
KHP reports his injuries appeared to be serious and he was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. The driver was wearing a helmet and safety goggles.
