Great Bend Fire Department
There was a small brush fire at 250 N. Washington St. at 6:38 p.m. Saturday and a false alarm Sunday night at 5212 Ridgeway.
A very small fire Monday evening in the river bed south of Stone Lake was out before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters made three ambulance runs Thursday, five Friday, one Saturday, five Sunday and three Monday.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Danny Boone was backing west on Jackson St. near 10th at 1 p.m. Thursday and struck a vehicle driven by Bret Bauer, who was backing east on Jackson.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a credit machine on a pole at Sonic, 3909 10th St.
A possible injury accident was reported on 31st St. at 6:13 p.m. Thursday. Jeremy Ferguson was driving east and struck a parked vehicle.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle at Love’s Country Store, 1221 10th St.
A forgery case was taken Friday after a Great Bend resident reported unknown persons writing checks on his account.
A burglary was reported in the 700 block of Holland St. An unknown person broke in and took $1,400 cash and a camera.
A vehicle driven by Jamie Landers was eastbound in the 1900 block of Lakin Ave. at 5:05 p.m. Friday and struck a vehicle driven by Rachael Hayrich, who was stopped in traffic.
A known person was served a notice to appear in municipal court after allegedly taking $53.93 in items from Walmart, 3503 10th St.
On Saturday night around 10:30, police received reports of fireworks going off in the 200 block of Pine St. and shots fired in the area of 12th and Madison St.
A man in a brown pickup reportedly backed into the Alternacare building at 2716 10th St. around 11 p.m. Saturday and left the area.
A motorist, possibly in a white Chevrolet Sebring, hit a legally parked vehicle in the 1700 block of Hubbard St. around 9 a.m. on Sunday and left the area.
A hit-and-run motorist hit a gas meter at 1110 Third St. on Sunday.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer at 8 p.m. Thursday on K-96, between Heizer and Albert.
A vehicle hit two deer just east of Claflin shortly before 6:54 a.m. Friday.
