Great Bend Fire/EMS

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service made three ambulance runs Friday, four Saturday and four Sunday.

Firefighters responded to a smoke alarm at 4:41 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Patton Road. The alarm was malfunctioning.

They responded to a fire at 11:31 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Hickory St.

A gas smell was reported at 12:58 a.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of Harrison St. Kansas Gas Service was notified.

Great Bend Police

A stolen vehicle was recovered at 1:01 p.m. Friday at Third and Locust.

A non-injury crash was reported at 1:41 p.m. at Broadway and Washington. 

A battery was reported at 2:01 p.m. at Great Bend High School.

A non-injury hit-and-run crash was reported at 3:31 p.m. at 1123 10th St. 

A non-injury hit-and-run crash was reported at 10:53 p.m. at 12 and Baker. 

An aggravated assault was reported at 11:24 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Frey St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:45 a.m. Saturday at 10th and Stone. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:58 p.m. at 1008 Kansas Ave. 

A domestic aggravated assault was reported at 10:33 p.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of 18th St.

A domestic aggravated assault was reported at 11:24 p.m. in the 1400 block of 22nd St.

Barton County Sheriff

A fraud case was taken Friday in the 50 block of Karen St., Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:50 a.m. Saturday at mile marker 191 on West U.S. 56 in Barton County.

An injury crash was reported at 9 a.m. Saturday in Cheyenne Bottoms at 204 NE 60 Road. A sleepy driver went off the road and the vehicle hit a concrete culvert. The driver was later taken to Clara Barton Medical Center by private vehicle.
