Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service responded to nine calls on Friday, six on Saturday, and three on Sunday.

The fire department responded to a smoke detector malfunction on Friday.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:44 a.m. Friday at 17th and Monroe St.

A theft was reported at 9:09 a.m. Friday at 5818 Rosewood Dr.

A theft was reported at 12:54 p.m. Friday at First Kansas Bank, 4001 10th St. 

An injury crash was reported at 3:54 p.m. Friday at 10th St. and McKinley St. The individual sustained minor injuries.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the 1300 block of Holland St. 

A domestic disturbance was reported at 8:02 p.m. Friday at the 2600 block of Gano St.

A theft was reported at 8:15 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 3503 10th St.

A narcotics violation was reported at 10:10 p.m. Friday at Broadway Ave. and Madison St. Jonathan Jones was arrested. 

K9 Menta was used on a traffic stop at 10:13 p.m. Friday at Broadway Ave. and Madison St. 

A theft was reported at 1:17 p.m. Saturday at 409 Chestnut St.

There was a juvenile complaint reported at 3:18 p.m. Saturday.

Harassment was reported at 12:15 a.m. Sunday at Walnut Plaza Apartment, 2611 27th St.

K9 Menta was used on a traffic stop at 1:01 a.m. Sunday at the 100 block of E Broadway St. Hoisington. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:37 a.m. Sunday at the 3900 block of 23rd St. 

A theft was reported at 7:50 a.m. Sunday at Walmart.

A theft was reported at 12:44 p.m. Sunday at Walmart.

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 12:57 p.m. Sunday at 19th St. and Van Buren St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 1:26 p.m. Sunday at 5913 Rosewood Dr. 

A missing person/runaway was reported at 3:43 p.m. Sunday for Great Bend resident Paul Zamarripa. He was later located in McPherson.

An all units car chase was reported at 7:10 p.m. Sunday at Forest Ave. and Morphy St. Layton Luke was apprehended.  

Criminal damage was reported at 10:39 p.m. Sunday at 2919 18th St.

Barton County Sheriff

A fraud case was reported Friday at BTI Great Bend, 248 SE 10 Ave.

A structure fire was reported at 2:46 p.m. Friday in rural Great Bend.

An injury crash was reported at 3:54 p.m. Friday at 10th St. and McKinley St.

A theft was reported at 4:43 p.m.  Friday in Susank. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:31 p.m. Friday at N 281 and W K4.

A fire was reported at 8:47 p.m. Friday at the 200 block in Susank.

Police responded to a domestic call at 12:09 a.m. Saturday at 5540 2nd St.

An arrest was made at a traffic stop at 1:44 p.m. Saturday at NE 160 Ave. and W Highway 56.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:36 a.m. Sunday at NE Highway 156 and NE 20 Road. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 11:13 a.m. Sunday at SE 50 Road and SE 140 Ave.

An all-units car chase was reported at 7:10 p.m. Sunday at Forest Ave. and Morphy St.
