Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made 12 ambulance runs on Friday, Jan. 27, five on Saturday and two on Sunday.

Around 6 p.m. Saturday, someone in the 2500 block of Mcbride Parkway reported a fire in a neighbor’s yard but it was only someone using a burn pit.

A grass fire was extinguished shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday at Broadway and Odell. Smoldering fireworks were found in the intersection.

Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:22 a.m. Friday at 2008 Van Buren St.

Police responded to a domestic battery report at 8:37 p.m. at 5501 9th St. and arrested Jose Olazaba-Alacron. He was booked and released after posting bond.

A hit-and-run non-injury crash was reported Saturday night in the 400 block of Plum Street.

A possible burglary in progress was reported at 10:17 p.m. Saturday at 1427 Lakin Ave. Nothing was found.

Taylor Turner was arrested for trespassing after refusing to leave the Travel Lodge, 3200 10th St., at 10:42 a.m. Sunday.

A theft was reported at 8:05 p.m. Sunday at 2502 21st St.

A sex offense involving a juvenile was reported at 2:28 a.m. Monday in Great Bend.

A fraud case was reported at 5:49 a.m. Monday at 1424 11th St.

Barton County Sheriff

An injury crash was reported at 9:20 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at 19th and Main, Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:19 p.m. in the 1600 block of NE 90 Ave., Claflin.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:10 a.m. Saturday at the 4-H Building, 601 N. U.S. 281.

A fire was reported at 4:26 p.m. at Susank Road and NW 180 Road, Susank.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:56 p.m. Saturday at 327 NW 10 Road, Great Bend.

Taser deployment was reported at 12:46 p.m. Sunday at the Barton County Detention Center, 1408 Kansas Ave.
