Great Bend Fire and EMS

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service made six ambulance runs on Wednesday. Firefighters responded to one call about arcing wires at 8:05 p.m. at Pizza Hut, 2006 Main St.

A disturbance was reported at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday at 3112 10th St.

Criminal threats were reported at 12:38 p.m. in the 2100 block of 29th St.

A disturbance was reported at 12:45 p.m. at 821 Maple St.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 2:28 p.m. in the 800 block of Grant St.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 3:35 p.m. in the 800 block of Maple St.

A theft was reported at 3:45 p.m. at 2220 Tyler St.

A possible narcotics violation was reported at 4:29 p.m. in the 5200 block of 10th St. 

A battery was reported at 6:35 p.m. at the Great Bend Recreation Commission Activity Center, 2715 18th St.

Criminal threats were reported at 7:19 p.m. at 409 Chestnut St.


Barton County Sheriff

An injury crash was reported at 8:52 a.m. Wednesday at W K-4 and NW 20 Ave., Hoisington. A driver came upon a tractor and the vehicle went into a ditch when she swerved to miss it. The driver was taken to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington with what appeared to be minor injuries.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:02 a.m. in the 700 block of W Fourth St., Hoisington.

A sex offense was reported at 12:35 p.m. in the 2000 block of NW 70 Ave., Galatia.

Fraud was reported at 2;17 p.m. at 103 SE 40 Rd.

A narcotics violation was reported at 2:43 p.m. at NW 30 Ave. and NW 60 Rd., Barton County.

A non-injury crash was reported at 4:17 p.m. in the 100 block of NW 110 Rd., Hoisington.

The K-9 unit was utilized at 10:53 p.m. in the 1100 block of NE 100 Ave., Claflin.
