Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made three ambulance runs on Wednesday. No fires were reported.


Great Bend Police

On Wednesday morning, a Notice to Appear (NTA) was served on an individual reported to have no rabies vaccination from a previous animal bite. It was served on the third attempt, at 5:17 p.m.

Four juvenile complaints were reported between 10:32 a.m. and 12:51 p.m. Four additional complaints involving juveniles were reported in the afternoon, ranging from an unattended child to a missing person/runaway, and other unspecified reports.

A Great Bend resident reported being scammed out of money through Paypal.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:04 p.m. at 8th and McKinley St.

A burglary in progress was reported at 8:42 p.m. Wednesday at 4912 Lakin Ave.


Barton County Sheriff

A theft was reported at 8:56 a.m. Wednesday at 1257 NW K-96, Albert.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:49 p.m. on East U.S. 56 near mile marker 213, rural Ellinwood.
