CULLISON — A Hugoton man was taken to the Kiowa County Hospital with possible injuries on Friday after a semitrailer and a vehicle collided at 6:05 p.m.

Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred on U.S. 54 at Main St. in Cullison, in Pratt County.
A westbound Peterbilt semi driven by Christian Lee Paulson, 43, of Stafford, was behind a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by Francisco Saldana, 62, of Hugoton. Saldana slowed down to make a left turn, then Paulson made an evasive maneuver to the right, but the pickup also moved to the right, and Paulson was unable to avoid a collision.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
