Great Bend Police Chief Steve Haulmark reports that at approximately 4:18 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, officers were dispatched to check on a report of criminal threats. Prior to their arrival, Barton County Dispatch transferred the reporting person’s call to an officer. The officer was informed that the suspect, Shae Emig, age 48, made specific heinous threats of violence to a victim, and referenced a previous and pending case. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the previous case and the court date. Officers located Emig and arrested him on charges of aggravated intimidation of a witness and battery. Emig was transported to the Barton County Jail where he was booked in lieu of a $40,000 bond.
