Katherine Heigl isnt done with television just yet.
The Greys Anatomy alum will join the show Suits as a series regular for season 8.
Heigl, who recently starred on the short-lived CBS legal drama Doubt, will play Samantha Wheeler, who is described as a talented new partner at Pearson Specter Litt who challenges the status quo and will either become the firms greatest ally or most powerful enemy, according to a USA Network press release.
Heigl said in a statement that she's excited to join the cast.
I have watched Suits from the very beginning and feel incredibly lucky to be the newest member of the Pearson Specter Litt family, she said in a statement, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Heigl will join the cast alongside Dule Hill (Psych), who starred on Doubt with Heigl before the show was canceled.
The Suits cast saw some major changes this week as show leads Patrick Adams and Meghan Markle announced their final dates on the show. According to USA Today, Markle, who will be marrying Britains Prince Harry on May 19, will make her final Suits appearance in the two-hour season finale on April 25.
Heigl has won both an Emmy Award and two Golden Globe awards. Shes best known for her roles in 27 Dresses and Knocked Up.
"We had big dreams of expanding our family, moving to the mountains and having a quieter life," she told Good Housekeeping in 2014. "Utah is spectacularly beautiful, the people are wonderful and kind, it's an easy commute from L.A. and there's no traffic!"
