Alice Katherine Elizabeth Ebert 1917-2011

LARNED — Alice Katherine Elizabeth Ebert, 94, passed away Aug. 31 at the Dallas Retirement Village, Dallas, Ore.

She was born April 17, 1917 in Barton County, the daughter of Fred and Anna Steinert Heinze. A lifetime area resident, moving to Oregon in 2008; she was a Licensed Mental Health Technician for the Larned State Hospital for 19 years.

She was a member of the FOE Auxiliary in Great Bend, as well as a member of the American Legion, VFW Auxiliary, and the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the Dallas Senior Center.

On Nov. 20, 1941 she married Orous Howard Ebert in Larned. He passed away Oct. 9, 1982.

Survivors include; a son, Verlyn Ebert, Dallas, Ore., a stepsister, Joyce Shelton, Great Bend; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.;She was preceded in death by her brother, Lloyd.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday at Hillcrest Cemetery, Great Bend with Officiant Roy Julius presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Great Bend.
