ROZEL — Alice “Pauline” Myers, 91, left this world on Oct. 18 at her home in Rozel. Born Jan. 16, 1921, at Bristow, Okla., she was the daughter of Samuel Alexander and Maude Gertrude Reinhart Warren; she was one of 13 children. On May 7, 1944, she married Cletice N. Myers at Vinita, Okla. He died on Jan. 27, 1979. She was a resident of Rozel since 1973, moving from Great Bend, where they raised their family. Pauline worked as a cook at the Larned State Hospital from 1970 to 1978. Her hobbies include quilting and gardening. She loved to give her quilts to her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Myers was a charter member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend, a Sunday school teacher for several years and attended the First Baptist Church in Rozel after moving there. Survivors include two sons, Phillip L. Myers of Windsor, Colo. and Wayne L. Myers of Great Bend; three grandchildren, Dr. Christopher P. Myers of Parkville, Md., Dr. Gregory J. Myers of Morrison, Colo., and Laura Miller of Johnstown, Colo.; three great-grandchildren, Braiden Miller, Avery Myers and Dagan Myers; and one brother, Nelson Warren of Rozel. She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant daughter, Shirley Myers; one son, Cletice “Larry” Myers; nine brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 20 at Morell Funeral Home in Larned, with Pastor Doyle Smith presiding. Burial will be at the Fairland Cemetery in Fairland, Okla. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, Rozel in care of the funeral home.
