Allen M. Juergensen 1936 - 2015

Allen M. Juergensen, 79, died Aug. 17, 2015, at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend. Born July 18, 1936, in Sagerton, Texas, he was the son of Olaf and Agaetha (Schulz) Juergensen. He was employed by Western Power and Light at the Mullergren Plant and retired as a load dispatcher at Centel.
Mr. Juergensen was a radio electronic technician in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961. He was a commercial pilot with fixed wing and rotor ratings. He was of the Lutheran faith and a member of AARL and the Great Bend Amateur Radio Club.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, Lyle Fajen of Scottsdale, Ariz.; niece and nephews, Jennifer Harrenstein of Phoenix, Ariz., Don Fajen of Anchorage, Alaska, and Linda Wells of Petersburg, Alaska; and grand-nieces and nephews, Heather Harrenstein, Don Elia Tikhon, Michiko, Naoko, Joel Wells and Bethany Wells. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Viola Fajen.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to Great Bend Air Fest, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
