Annabelle N. Spencer, 74, died Feb. 6 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Born July 15, 1937, in Goessell, she was the daughter of Russell Everett and Frances Jane (Parsons) Wenger. A Great Bend resident since 1993, coming from Wichita, she was a cook at Scott County Hospital and Clara Barton Hospital.

Annabelle enjoyed many types of crafts, with a special interest in Native American culture.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Love of Hoisington, Linda Shaffer of Dighton, and Pennie Spencer of Great Bend. She was preceded in death by one son, Wes Spencer, and one sister, Helen Zook.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Bryant Funeral Home. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Hartford Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to AIDS Research Alliance, in care of the funeral home.
