ROZEL — Roxanne Rae Melia, 65, passed away June 22, 2026 at Hays Med.
She was born June 15, 1961 in Norton, the daughter of Raymond and Esther Shearer Marble.
Moving from Norton, she was an area resident for 38 years and a member of Rozel Baptist Church and Ladies Coffee group. Retiring as a food service supervisor, she worked in food service for the State of Kansas for 33 years, three years at Aramark, two years for Department of Corrections, and two years at Pawnee Heights School District. Roxanne was an Avon representative and loved to crochet.
On May 7, 1983 she married Clyde L. Melia in Almena; he survives.
Other survivors include, three daughters, Sarah (Chris) Hapka, Overland Park, Carisa (Travis) Young, Lyons, Emily Melia, Manhattan; two brothers, Blaine Marble, Almena, Brant Marble, St. Mary’s; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2026 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned with Scott Haggerty presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Ford Cemetery, Ford, Kan.
