ELLINWOOD — Ashley Ann Reichuber, 21, passed away in Wichita, on April 29, 2017. Born on Aug. 21, 1995 in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Gerald and Sharon (Thomas) Reichuber. She graduated from Ellinwood High School in 2014 where she participated in cross country, track, FBLA, FFA, and also was a talented musician often playing in the pep band during sporting events. She later went on to earn her Associates Degree in Business/Agriculture from Barton County Community College.
Her love was the farm where she excelled at any task that needed to be done from farming to ranching. She raised and watched after her own cattle and helped with daily chores on the family farm. She loved all animals especially her dogs and will always be remembered as someone who worked hard and never complained.
She is survived by her parents, Gerald and Sharon Reichuber; sister, Abbie Reichuber; and grandparents, Robert and Marjorie Thomas, all of Ellinwood.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 4 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood with Father Terrance Klein presiding. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, from 1-5 p.m. at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood, with the Altar Society Rosary at 3 p.m., also at the funeral home. Vigil Service will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Joseph Church Endowment fund in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
