OAKLEY — Barbara A. Glover, 62, passed away on Sept. 10, 2017 in Oakley. She was born on Jan. 24, 1955, in Oneonta, Ala., to Ernest O. and Lela (Churchill) Glover.
Barbara was a member of the Oakley United Methodist Church, the Oakley Ambassadors and the Oakley Library Board, serving several terms as president. She was the editor of the Oakley Graphic for the last 29 years.
She is survived by her sister, the Rev. Debra Rains of Holyrood; nephews Nicholas (Judy) Rains, T.J. Rains and William Rains; and seven great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother Lela Glover.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 25, at the Oakley United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oakley Library, or the Oakley United Methodist Church.
