Bernece Lancaster Milner 1908-2011

ELLSWORTH — Bernece Lancaster Milner, 103, died Aug. 31, 2011 in Ellsworth.
She was born Feb. 10, 1908 in Fairview, Okla., the daughter of Albert and Josephine (Goodale) Lancaster. 
She was a homemaker, an oil field pumper for Braden and Dean during WWII and surrogate mother to many children and grandchildren in Ellsworth. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth. 
On May 21, 1925, she married Gus Clayton Milner in Emporia. He preceded her in death June 10, 1991. 
Survivors include sons Bill Milner, Wichita; and Kenneth Milner, Olathe; daughters Roberta Mog, Wilson; and Karen Kerby, Ellsworth; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3 at the funeral home with burial following in the Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 8 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
