HOISINGTON — Bernice Margaret Baker, 52, died Nov. 14 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was born May 31, 1958, at Hoisington, the daughter of Catarino and Mary (Arguello) Rubio. She married Joe M. Baker on Dec. 2, 1995, at Otis. she worked for Clara Barton Hospital as a medical coder. She was a lifetime Hoisington resident.
Mrs. Baker was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the VFW Auxiliary to Post No. 7428, all of Hoisington.
Survivors include her husband, Joe M. Baker, of the home; two sons, Christopher Redetzke and James Redetzke, both of Hoisington; two daughters, Shauna Redetzke and Breanna Baker, both of Hoisington; two daughters-in-law, Erica Redetzke and Karly Samora, both of Hoisington; five sisters, Josephine Merchant of Glasco, Irene Gallentine and Kathy Noblitt, both of Hoisington, Ramona Hoch of Russell and Juanita Heinrich of Great Bend; two brothers, Martin Rubio of Hoisington and John Rubio of Lawton, Pa.; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bill Rubio, and a sister, Frances Jean Hoch.
A rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hoisington, with Father Dwight Birket celebrant. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment will be at the St. John Church Cemetery, Hoisington.
