HOISINGTON — Bette M. Billinger, 96, died Feb. 28 at Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington. She was born July 30, 1916, the daughter of Fred and Alice Alt. She married the love of her life, Edmund Raymond Billinger, on April 11, 1942, at Tacoma, Wash. He died Oct. 23, 2011.
She was a Registered Nurse, working both in hospitals and private practices in the Denver area, until her retirement.
Mrs. Billinger had been a Hoisington resident since 2011, living at Country Place Living, coming from Denver, Colorado.
Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Clementine Shives of Hoisington, Barbara Knoll of Derby and Rosalie Fabricius of Great Bend. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will be at Golden Belt Memorial Park, Great Bend, at a later date. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial donations are suggested to Clara Barton Foundation or Country Place Living Activity Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
