LARNED — Betty Jo (Jody) Rader, 82, died March 10, at Country Place Senior Living in Larned. Born Jan. 29, 1931 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Merle and Muriel Ratliff Kelly. In 1949 she graduated from Greensburg High school. On Aug. 7, 1949, she married Dorl Rader in Greensburg. He survives. She was a doctor’s nurse for Doctors Cram, Blount, Brenner, Ewing and Smith in Greensburg.
Mrs. Rader was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  
Other survivors include, a daughter Jody Ann Schwanke of Hesston; two sons, Kim  of Scott City and Bill of Lee’s Summit Mo.; a sister Jerry Bender of Greensburg; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Shuck; a brother Hal; and a grandson Bryce Rader.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Larned with Pastor Bethann Black presiding. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Mullinville. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Beckwith Mortuary in Larned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
