HOISINGTON — Betty “JoAnn” Clark, 76, passed away Aug. 8, 2015, at Peabody Health and Rehab in Peabody. She was born July 31, 1939 in rural Rogers County, Okla., the daughter of Malcom John “Moon” and Josie Mae (Parks) Mullis.
She has lived her entire life in the Hoisington area. She was a homemaker and at the age of 43 she received her GED. JoAnn was united in marriage to Maurice Bryce Clark on June 1, 1985 at the First United Methodist Church in Hoisington. He passed away March 30, 2015. JoAnn loved being with her family, horses and doing crafts.
Survivors include her children, J.R. Chelf of Winfield, Bryan Clark and wife Susan of Hutchinson, Cyndi King of Hoisington, and Karla McConnell and husband Weldon of Salina; brother Billy and wife Marie Mullis of Silver Springs, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and her cat Patches. She was preceded in death by brother James Mullis and sister Shirley and granddaughter Jennifer.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Rev. Dick Ogle presiding. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
