MISSION, Texas — Beverly Louise Colegrove Boyer died at the age of 82 due to natural causes at Mission, Texas, on Nov. 18. Beverly was born Aug. 1, 1926, the daughter of Helen Louise Miller Colegrove and Arthur Colegrove. She was the granddaughter of Herman C. and Mary Colegrove and Lester C. and Christine Miller, all of whom were residents of Great Bend before their deaths. On March 7, 1946, Beverly was wed to Harold Wayne Boyer. They were married for 54 years before "Wayne" passed away in January of 2000.

She is survived by three children, Caren Sue Watson and her husband Rex of Peabody, Cathy Louise Maben and her husband Gary of Joseph, Ore., and Kevin Wayne Boyer of Arvada, Colo. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Stuart, Tim, Kaci and Keegan and three great- grandchildren, Kristian, Alexandria and Vaughn.

Beverly was active for many years in the youth bowling program as well as the Women’s Bowling Association. She spent many years at the Walnut Bowl, whether it was volunteering with the youth, organizing the Heart Association Bowling event, or bowling in her women’s leagues and mixed leagues as well. She also worked behind the desk for a period of time.

Beverly was a lifelong resident of Great Bend until 1988, when she and "Wayne" moved to Mission, Texas, as that was their retirement location of choice.

Upon Beverly’s request, there will be no service.
