Billy “Bill” Lee Terry, 76, passed away Nov. 17, 2023, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kan. He was born Feb. 7, 1947, at St. Francis, Kan. to John and Bernetta (Wall) Terry. He married Sheryl Sleichter June 12, 1968, at Palco, Kan.
Coming from Colby in 1974, Bill was a current Great Bend resident. He was an independent insurance adjuster for many years. He was a member of Foundry Community Church, The Gideons International and Promise Keepers. Bill enjoyed fishing and hunting but especially loved to spend time with his family.
Survivors include, his wife Sheryl of the home; two sons, Chad Terry and wife Sue of Castle Rock, Colo. and Shawn Terry and wife Kim of Loveland, Colo.; a daughter, Angie Berringer and husband Todd of Erie, Colo.; six grandchildren, Triston Berringer, Darby Berringer, Kalyssa Berringer, Rocco Terry, Payton Terry and Cameron Terry; and a great grandson, William Berringer; three brothers, Cecil Terry and wife Mary of Aurora, Colo., Dean Terry and wife Donna of Superior, Neb. and Dwaine Meireis of Scott City, Kan. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother and his wife, Leland and Linda Terry; and a sister in law, Laura Terry.
Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home, with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023, at Foundry Community Church, with Pastor Joel East presiding. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery North. Memorials have been designated to The Gideons International and Foundry Community Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
