Blanche Margaret Pfannenstiel 1916 - 2012

NESS CITY — Blanche Margaret Pfannenstiel, 96, died Nov. 8, at her home in the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home, Hebron, Neb.  She was born Oct. 21, 1916, the daughter of Hugh and Ethel Phleger Corrigan.  On May 16, 1985, she married Adolf P. Pfannenstiel in Ness City. He preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1985. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Ness County until she moved to Hebron in 2010.
Mrs. Pfannenstiel was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and Altar Society and the JJJ Club, all of Ness City.
 Survivors include two sons, Charles and Wayne; three daughters, Mary Whipple, Betty Hatch and Tammy Langer; a granddaughter, Debbie Jackson, who was raised by Blanche and Adolf; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Mae Turner; two brothers, Roy and Fred Corrigan; and two sisters, Violet Ruff and Mary Schliter.
 Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Church, Ness City. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. and the parish vigil at 7:30 p.m. at the church on Monday. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund, the American Cancer Society, or for Masses.
