Carlos Salvador Torres Reyes, 23, died June 6 at his home in Great Bend. Born June 7, 1989 in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico, he was the son of Salvador and Luz Elena (Reyes) Torres. A resident of Great Bend since 2000, coming from Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico, he was an assembly line worker.
Mr. Reyes was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Survivors include his companion, Betzabeth Acosta, of the home; parents, Salvador and Luz Elena Torres Reyes, of Great Bend; one son, Dylan Torres of the home; one daughter, Cassandra Torres, of the home; two brothers, Hector Torres Reyes of Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico and Julio Torres Reyes of Great Bend; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Velia Reyes of Great Bend; and paternal grandfather, Joaquin Torres of Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Consuelo Torres.
A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery North. Friends may visit from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Carlos Torres Reyes Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
