ELLSWORTH — Carmen R. Munguia, 89, died Oct. 31 at Ellsworth County Medical Center, Ellsworth. She was born Oct. 8, 1921, at El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Edurado and Refugio (Jimeniz) Rousett. She married Ramon Munguia on May 1, 1948, at El Paso, Texas. He died June 1, 2008. A homemaker, she was an Ellsworth resident for the past seven years, coming from Lorraine.
Mrs. Munguia was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Alma Radenberg and her husband Kenny of Hoisington and Ruth Powell and her husband Tom of San Jose, Calif.; one brother, Edurado Rousett of Mexico; grandchildren, Paul Powell, Molly Powell, Katrina Radenberg, Melanee Radenberg, Carrie Pearson and Ryan Powell; and great-grandchildren, Zachary Powell and Riley Powell.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, with the Rev. Don Fisher officiant. Inurnment will be at the Hoisington Cemetery. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Donations for memorial funds for the Hoisington Church of the Nazarene or for Hospice Care of Kansas may be made in care of the funeral home.
