Carol Lynn Scheuerman, 82, passed away Dec. 21, 2021, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. She was born on Dec. 2, 1939, at Topeka, to Major Lawton Dangerfield Sr. and Virginia (Frye) Dangerfield. She married Arlyn G. Scheuerman on Nov. 10, 1978, at Broken Arrow, Okla.
Carol graduated from Topeka High School in 1957, she then attended Court Reporting Institute in Washington DC and Dodge City Community College. She was the Director of Human Resources at Dodge City Community College. She had previously worked as the office manager of Gemini Launch Preparations Astronaut & Engineering Group in St. Louis, Mo., the natural resources administrator for the Arkansas Department of Commerce and the assistant director of the Arkansas Workers Compensation Claims Division. Carol was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 462 in Topeka and First Christian Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include, her husband Arlyn Scheuerman and a daughter Diana Sue Scheuerman of Great Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; her brother Major Lawton Dangerfield Jr.; and a sister Joyce Dangerfield Longsdorf.
Family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 at First Christian Church, with Reverend Josh Leu and Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Inurnment will be in the Baptist Cemetery at Otis. Memorials have been designated to First Christian Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
