These are just a few of the lessons our beloved mother, Charlotte Linsner instilled in us.
She truly made the world a better place and we are all poorer without her.
Charlotte passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. And she was also everyone’s mother. Everyone knew her as “momma Linsner” and she was cherished beyond words.
She suffered from some health issues, but she never complained and never stopped giving the best hugs, and the best advice.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1947 in Dallas, Texas at St. Paul’s Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Larry Linsner; her two brothers Robert and Thomas Kuhn; her four children, Bruce Linsner, Lynn DiPlacito, Brian Linsner, LeAnn Pidcock; her five grandchildren, Kaycie Naglowsky, Chaelyn Hamann, Christian Flanders, Chelsey DiPlacito, and Dylan Pidcock; also one great-grandchild, Aerick Naglowsky. She was preceded in death by her sister Darlene Loomis; her brother Rick Loftis; and her mother Ruth Kuhn.
Charlotte selflessly and tirelessly worked as an advocate for victims of domestic violence in Northwest Kansas for over 30 years. She was publicly recognized by the Attorney General of Kansas on April 3, 2013. She was also publicly honored by U.S. Senator Jerry Moran for her efforts to improve the lives of women throughout the state. She was loved by all who knew her. We will miss her strength, her spirit, and most of all her infectious laughter. She taught us all to smile through the heartache and laugh through the tears. We will do our best to live up to her advice and her beautiful, kind example. And mom, please know we “love you more!”
A Rosary and Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Father Stephan Dabanka presiding. Inurnment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Hoisington. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington, KS 67544.
