WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — A new star appeared in the sky on Jan. 24, 2023 when Clinton Wayne Pitts passed away at his home in West Hollywood, Calif. He was 34 years old.
Clint (Wayne to his family and friends in Kansas) was born to Clinton and Anita (McCollum) Pitts in Great Bend, Kan. on Jan. 7, 1989. He grew up in and around Claflin, Kan. In 2009, Clint moved to Southern California, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Laguna College of Art + Design. Over the course of his design career, Clint shared his talent and creativity with a number of leading firms and companies, most recently Vanguard.
On Sept. 5, 2015, Clint married Adam Brauner at the historic Sentinel Hotel in Portland, Ore. They spent several years living in the Pacific Northwest before returning to Southern California in 2019.
Clint had a magnetic and electrifying personality. He brought light into every room he entered and made everyone he met feel like the most special person in the world. He was passionate about music; a few of his favorite artists included Dolly Parton, Tegan & Sara, and Robyn. He loved RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Golden Girls, movies, facials, board games, Halloween, and travel. He exuded adventure, style, and curiosity. His sparkle and warmth will continue to be felt by the people he touched for years to come.
Clint’s memory will be cherished by many, many people, including his husband Adam and his siblings Loretta (Pitts) Franz and her husband Doug, Crystal (Pitts) Gardiner and her husband Ryan, Robert James “RJ” Kelly, Loren (Pitts) Meyer and his husband Andreas, Stormy Pitts, and Triston Pitts and his wife Colette. He will also be remembered with deep affection by his chosen and extended families.
