HOISINGTON — Daniel David DeWitt, 59, passed away Aug. 3, 2023, at his home in Hoisington, Kan. He was born on July 20, 1964, in Hays, Kan., to Donald and Marth (Triebel) DeWitt. 

Dan grew up in and graduated from Concordia, Kan., later moving to Coffeyville, Kan., then to Hoisington, Kan., where he lived for several years. Dan enjoyed participating in Special Olympics in Concordia and Great Bend.

He also enjoyed spending time with his big family at the many family reunions. Dan liked fishing, playing cards, and horseshoes.

Dan is survived by three brothers, Ed (Judy) DeWitt of Hesston, Kan., Vern DeWitt of Coffeyville, Kan., and Gene DeWitt of Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Deb (Jerry) Davis of Hoisington, Kan., Ruby (Randy) Barnes of Independence, Kan., and Susan Sisco of Nowata, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Cremation has taken place with Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.nicholsonrickefh.net
