LARNED — Daniel L. Harsch, 72, passed away Oct. 24, 2021 at Diversicare of Larned.
He was born Nov. 20, 1948 at Bernalillo, New Mexico, the son of Thomas B. and Geraldine M. Driscoll Harsch Jr. Moving from Colorado to Larned in 1971, he was a longtime area resident and was a former Police Officer, EMT, and retired from the Larned State Hospital in 2010.
He was of the Catholic religion and was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, American Legion Riders, Patriot Guard, all of Larned and served in the United States Marine Corp during Vietnam.
Survivors include longtime companion, Jeannie Beer, Larned; step-daughter, Stephanie A. Yahne, Lakeside, Calif.; two sisters, Patricia (Terri Coomer) Harsch, Fort Collins, Colo., Kimberly (Russ) Bird, San Diego, Calif.; one brother, Herbie Pirrung, Austin, Texas; grandson, Wyatt Tatloc, Lakeside, Calif.; nieces and nephews, BJ (Alisha), Jamie (Dani), Bennett (Nikki), Kolby, Slater. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Francis Pirrung, Michael Harsch; and his stepmother, Gretchen Harsch.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021 at the Wilson Cemetery, Wilson, Kan. with Pastor Jeff Owen presiding and military Honors.
