HOISINGTON — Don L. Clutter, 65, died Dec. 17 at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. Born Feb. 22, 1946, in North Tonawanda, N.Y., he was the son of Elmer and Elsie Ruth (Sellers) Clutter. On June 14, 1986, he married Angie Kaiser in Great Bend. A lifetime resident of Hoisington, he was a retired maintenance employee for Natural Gas Pipeline in Albert. He served as a Drill Sergeant in the Army National Guard. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and his dog Ruger, enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycles.
Mr. Clutter was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife, Angie Clutter, of the home; a son, Chance Clutter and wife Amanda of Hooksett, N.H.; two daughters, Kelly Battiston and husband Matt of Alexandria, Va. and Lyndsay Clutter Kruckenberg and husband John, of Hoisington; two grandchildren, Sydney Kruckenberg and Keaton Kruckenberg; and mother-in- law, Marilyn Kaiser of Claflin. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dale Clutter; and father-in-law, Leo Kaiser.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Fisher officiating. Burial will be at the Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.; and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday, all at the funeral home. Don wishes to continue to help his grandchildren through life. A memorial has been established, Don Clutter's Grandchildren Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
