Donna Nadine Marbut, 67, passed away Oct. 24, 2021 at home in Great Bend, Kan. She was born on Aug. 26, 1954, at Smith Center, Kan., to Donald Eugene and Myrna (Yenne) Sheets.
Coming from Smith Center in 1962, Donna was a Great Bend resident. She was a nurse at Hoisington’s Cheyenne Meadows Living Center, Cherry Village, Great Bend Manor, and Ellinwood Country Living, retiring in 2019. She especially loved to spend time with her family.
Survivors include, two sons, Jason Marbut and wife Mandy of McPherson, and Trevor Marbut and wife Sam of Lenexa; a brother, John Sheets and wife Vicki of Great Bend; a step brother, Steve Skeels of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three step sisters, Vicki Schamaun and husband Mike of New Braunfels, Tex., Cathy Winters of Phillipsburg, and Sheila Stocker and husband Randy of Shelton, Neb.; three grandchildren, Tyler Marbut and wife Taylor, Makenzie Marbut, and Kaleigh Marbut; and three great grandchildren, Brantlie Marbut, Adlie Marbut and Carter Marbut. She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrna Sheets; her father and stepmother, Donald Sheets and Carolyn Showalter Skeels Sheets; and her beloved English bulldog, Rowdy.
Visitation will take place 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 at Bryant Funeral Home, with the family receiving guests from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials have been designated to Kindred Hospice, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
