Dotty Ann Kober 1931 - 2015

RUSH CENTER — Dotty Ann Kober, 83, died July 13, 2015, at Rush County Memorial Hospital in La Crosse. Born Sept. 19, 1931, in Rush Center, she was the daughter of Ernest G. and Zelma Mae (Moore) Hallett. In 1953, she married John B. Kober. He preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1990. She was a lifelong resident of Rush County. A 1949 graduate of La Crosse High School, she was a farmer. She also worked for Locust Grove Village in La Crosse for many years.
Mrs. Kober was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in La Crosse, Kansas and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include, her son, John A. Kober (Norma Louise), of Southlake, Texas; two grandchildren, Kersten Louise Kober and Colin Reid Kober; one brother, Gene Hallett of Great Bend; and three sisters, Lois Holopirek of Rush Center, Charlotte Peters of La Crosse, and Norma Kelley of Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Lloyd “Punk” Hallett.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in La Crosse with Father Matthew Kumi officiating. Interment will be at Locust Hill Cemetery in Rush Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Janousek Funeral Home in La Crosse. A vigil service and rosary will be at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Heartland Cancer Center in Great Bend.
