Dwayne Edward Meier, 68, passed away January 30, 2021, at his home in Salina. He was born June 28, 1952, in Great Bend to Harold and Margaret (Hoffman) Meier. Dwayne married Melva (Bachofer) July 21, 1982, in Forsyth, Mo.
A long-time resident of Salina moving from the Claflin area, Dwayne was a 47 year draftsman engineer for Coperion K-tron. He was baptized in the Catholic Church and enjoyed skeet shooting competitions and music, especially being accomplished in guitar, fiddle and steel guitar.
Survivors include two sisters, Jean McAtee and husband Terry of Pratt, and Darlene Feist and Angel Reyes of Northglenn, Col.; three nieces, Jena, Liz and Linda; three nephews, Travis, Trent and Adam; four great nieces, Keyton, Eva, Madi and Millie; seven great nephews, Reed, Gage, Chance, Cason, Marcus, Grant and Landon; one great great niece, Haven; and two great great nephews, Trace and Maze. He was preceded in passing by his wife Melva.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington, with Father Terrance Klein presiding. Inurnment will follow at Claflin Cemetery, Claflin. Masks and social distancing are required at all services.
