GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Earl Dean Resner, 75, died May 29, 2013 at his home in Grand Junction, Colo.
He was born March 2, 1938 at Barton County, the son of Edmund and Amelia (Wegele) Resner.
Earl was baptized as an infant at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Milberger and was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Russell. He married Anita Marlene Robertson June 7, 1959 at Great Bend. She died July 26, 1970. He married Betty Keck in 1972 and they were later divorced.
He was parts manager for John Deere and Gibson Titus & Stafford in Great Bend. He was a tools salesman for Snap-on Tools and Mac Tool in Colby and Grand Junction. Mr. Resner was a Grand Junction resident since 1972 coming from Colby and Great Bend. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Western Slope ATV Club and was a charter member of the Grand Junction Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed traveling, restoring antique tractors, and attending tractor shows and pulls.
Survivors include two sisters, Frances Maier, Russell; Norma Wiedeman, Hutchinson; a brother, Robert Resner; companion, Barbara Grace, Grand Junction, Colo.; and a stepson, Kim Laghlin, Vernal, Utah.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilmer Resner, Clarence Resner, and Clinton Resner.
A Funeral Service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. James A. Strasen Officiating. Interment with military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend.
Visitation: is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home.
