HOLYROOD — Edith M. Oeser-Stratmann, 93, died Sept. 20, 2011 in St. John.
She was born Dec. 12, 1917 in Russell County, was the daughter of George and Anna (Smischny) Mog. Living most her life in the Claflin and Holyrood areas, she was a homemaker. On April 3, 1982, she married Bert John Stratmann in Great Bend. He preceded her in death July 1, 1986. 
Mrs. Oeser-Stratmann was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Holyrood and Order of the Eastern Star in Holyrood.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathey Carlisle, Holyrood; and Sherry Oeser, Portland, Ore.; a son, Alan Oeser, Claflin; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and ten brothers and sisters.
A funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at Parsons Funeral Home in Ellsworth with burial following at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Holyrood. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Holyrood Fire Dept. or the church, in care of the funeral home.
