OTIS — Eudale Brack, 88, died July 25, 2015, at Locust Grove Nursing Home in LaCrosse. Born Sept. 1, 1926, in Alva, Okla. he was the son of Herman E. and Alma A. (Brack) Brack. On Sept. 12, 1945, he married Magdalene T. Tuzicka at Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis. She past away on Dec. 19, 2012. A lifetime Otis resident, he served as Mayor of Otis from 1963 to 1995, while working as a carpenter, farmer, and operating the Otis Cafe with his wife from 1964 to 1997. In May 2001, he received his high school diploma from Otis High School, and later in 2008 had his first airplane flight on the Central Prairie Honor Flight to Washington D.C. He enjoyed family and friends, fishing, hunting, playing cards, and doing jigsaw puzzles, framing them and giving them away.
Mr. Brack was a Navy Veteran Seaman 1st Class serving during World War II.
Survivors include, a daughter Darla Hanks and husband Terry of Otis; a daughter-in-law Sharon Brack of Great Bend; three grand-daughters, LaChelle Fitzmorris and husband Ryan, of Hays, Shawna Norman and husband Brant of Sublette, and Shannon Wilburn and husband Lee of Great Bend; and two great-grandsons, Declan and Kellan Fitzmorris of Hays. He was preceded in death by his son Roger Brack; and one great-grandson, Pierce Fitzmorris
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis with the Rev. Bruce Adamson officiating. Burial will be at the Otis Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until service time today at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Eudale Brack Memorial Fund in care of  the funeral home.
