Frank Francis Miguel, 80, died Oct. 23 at his home in Great Bend. Born July 6, 1932, in Layton, Calif., he was the son of Antonio and Adlathe (Mendes) Miguel. He married Anita Jane Teeples in Fresno, Calif. She died in November 1991. A resident of Great Bend since 2003, coming from Fresno, Calif., he was a farm hand.
Mr. Miguel was a United States Army veteran. He was a member of St. John’s Cathedral in Fresno, Calif.
Survivors include one son, Frank O. Miguel of Great Bend; three sisters, Eleanor Stacy and Mary Nunes, both of LeMoore, Calif., and Ida Cromwell of Clovis, Calif.; two brothers, Clarence Miguel of Hanford, Calif., and George Miguel of Visalia, Calif; and two grandchildren, Joshua Patton and Daniel Aldridge. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard Miguel, Manuel Miguel, and Antonio “Tony” Miguel; and one half-brother, Joe Cotta.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Bryant Funeral Home with military honors conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Frank F. Miguel Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
